War invites loving-kindness?

In this moment how can each one of us create a change?

Begin by allowing ourselves to feel the pain, the anger, the grief. Allow it to flow.

We have the power to use these emotions to create thoughts of gentleness towards ourselves, compassion towards others.

When we open our hearts to the pain, the anger, the grief, the tears, we can affirm that all are suffering.

There is power in lifting up a single thought of love for another, of lifting up a hope that all beings might be free from suffering.

There is power in lifting up a prayer for peace, for protection, for wisdom.

May this thought ignite action - to gather, to listen, to hold each other in this pain.

The action of holding a loving and compassionate thought for all of mankind is a small, but meaningful beginning.
